Bad news team!
The pumpkin plant that has been keeping our pumpkin going is slowly (but surely) dying.
If you want to have a look you will notice that the leaves are browning and it is thinning back quite considerably. We have a month to go till the competition so we need it to hang in there just a little longer!!!
If any one has any suggestions to how we can drag out its existence then please let me know!!
Cheers
Mr Young
keep watering it - hopefully it will last - my grandad would always wait for the plant to completely die before harvesting all his pumpkins. I suppose watering near the little roots coming off the main branch near the pumpkin would be good.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leonie, we will have to try this out. Your right about not harvesting the pumpkin until the last minute. That is also what the people from the Giant Pumpkin Association said to do.
